2023, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Procreate

In this animation, I wanted to experiment with combining photos I had taken during a study abroad trip to South Korea with 2D animated elements made in Procreate to create a serene and playful story. I was able to manipulate the original photos the remove the backgrounds and any excess elements that would not be needed in the scene, as well as editing the color, using Photoshop and Procreate. In this work, a bear girl character explores and interacts with the various environments in an effort to retrieve her hat that was blown away by the wind. By playing with colors and scale, the still photographs are brought to life and transform into an abstract and dreamy world for the character to discover.

This short video, Floating, is a small side project created using Adobe After Effects and Procreate. The goal of this project was to experiment with the tools and effects in the After Effects software in order to create a peaceful and abstract environment. This small project fit well with the overall concept of Dive, so I was able to repurpose it in place of the sky throughout the video.
