Last Night
2024, Adobe After Effects
This video project explores how different emotions/ideas can be communicated through the mise en scene alone, using the same actor in two different locations. In the first scene, I focused on creating a romantic and warm environment to tell the story of someone preparing a meal for someone they love. The second scene switches the tone, showing the same actor now distressed through the dark and cold environment. I utilized Adobe After Effects during the post production to edit the timing of the clips and add in any extra sound effects/music.

2024, Adobe After Effects
In this video project, I focused on capturing the same environment in both the day and night. I was able to experiment with different lighting, shadows and exposures on the camera while working outside as the sun was setting. I took inspiration from the style of old film camera videos and combined it with my footage to create an unsettling atmosphere. I was able to utilize Adobe After Effects to give my footage the film camera feel, as well as editing the audio to better match the scene.
Warm Feeling
This video project is focused around sound and the process of removing sound from the original video clips and building it back up through the process of Foley. The title of this Project, Warm Feeling, is inspired by the comforting feeling I get on a lazy, rainy day, cycling through some of my favorite activities. The warm red and purple lighting helps to emphasize the warmth and comfort in the room, while the dark blue light reflects the time passing from day into night.

Twilight: A QoA Parody
2025, Adobe After Effects
This short film video project was created in collaboration with my fellow members of the Queen of Aces dance team (or QoA) for The Ohio State University’s annual Korean Culture Show. These video inserts are needed to be played in between each of the five songs the team performs, as a way to allow the members to change outfits and to keep the audience engaged throughout the performance. This project allowed me to experiment with the genre of parody films, focusing on capturing the essence of the original Twilight, 2008 movie while putting a spin on many of the iconic moments to create an entertaining and humorous final product. I worked with the QoA members to write and shoot the project, while I handled all the post-production, figuring out creative ways to encapsulate the Twilight story in the short time limit we were given for the performance.
Movie trailer style video created for the inserts to promote the Korean Culture Show performance on the QoA Instagram.
